Urban Veda Purifying Day Cream

20131024-210341.jpg

When it comes to skin care, I’ve always been one of those people who sticks to whatever works, no matter what the cost or how hard it is to get those products. However, since subscribing to GlossyBox here in the UK, the constant disposal of skin care products never ceases to disappoint in the skincare sector. I receive a tonne of creams and lotions and potions and often try then really hesitantly in case they do more damage than good. However, after realising my skin generally reacts well with new products, I have broadened my horizons and now try the new products willingly.

20131024-210350.jpg

I received a sample of Urban Veda’s purifying day cream in Septembers GlossyBox which I blogged about and instantly fell in love with this stuff! I’ve recently noticed my skin becoming even more oilier than ever before and although it’s irritating, at least I know that my body is releasing in essay oils from itself. I’ve been going crazy looking for a cream that has everything: SPF, moisture, essential oils, vitamins and all in budget!

When this cream came about I fell in love! It is designed to target oil-prone skin and is mattifying .. What more could I ask for? Well it also claims to be pore refining and lightweight! All these things.. CHECK! This cream is amazing! After trying out the sample size, I immediately purchased the day and night cream!

20131024-210357.jpg

Now I have to be honest and say the night cream is a little too heavy right now, but only because my skin is oily and I think during the winter months, this cream will be perfect! However he day cream is AMAZING! I’ve hooked two other people to this and they love it too!

It’s almost like wiping water on your skin, and it leaves a just-cleansed kind of feeling on your skin! It’s so mattifying, if you apply on an oily area of your skin, you’ll see the shine disappear! It’s super lightweight and the packaging is small and light enough to carry around with you for travelling! I honestly love this cream! It’s the perfect price point too at each cream costing only £14.99! A little goes a long way thus making it even lighter on your purse!

20131024-210405.jpg

I could go on about it.. Silly when you think it’s only a cream, but my skin loves it! And now, so do I! I’d love to try other products from their range too! Have any of you tried anything from Urban Veda before? Visit their website here.

Accessory Haul!

Yesterday I done a blog post where I showed you my new Rebecca Minkoff purple mini M.A.C, but not everyone can afford such an expensive bag! So here’s an alternative I found!

I got this bag because of the GORGEOUS colour! When I saw the Rebecca Minkoff bag and its size, I knew I wanted a slightly larger size so I could use it for travel and this bag is perfect!

I got this from WWW.JUSTFAB.COM and! You have to register and fill in a profile which is so tedious but you get your first product for £17.50! And because this bag was so cheap I didn’t mind! It’s massive and I love it!

Add a splash of colour to your face!

20130425-111207.jpg

My newest love is definitely coloured eyeliner! I always feel overdone when I wear winged liner and now it’s summer, I don’t want it running down my face! I recently done a post on a KIKO haul (a brand based in Milan available at White City Westfield, London)! I tried their eyeliner and I was blown away by how good they were! I love adding the liner on my bottom lash line very lightly and using it to add a splash of colour!

20130425-111239.jpg

The eyeliners last so long and they are so vivid! They have shimmer in them apart from a few colours which have a more satin finish! I’ve calculated quite a few colours now and I love how long they last and how they add a pop of colour with little effort!

** I used about 3 coats of the liner to create these colours

To top it off, the applicator is a felt tip shape thus making application so much easier! You can create the finest of points and the thickest!

To top the whole experience off, these are so cheap coming in at £3.90 each (less than most drug store eyeliners) and there are 14 colours available!!

You can purchase the eyeliners here!

Beauty Haul!

The title says it all! There’s a lot. So lets get cracking!

Sally Hanson Miracle Nail Thickener

So this I got, because my nails are EXTREMELY BRITTLE! I’m talking about.. Shampooing my hair and my nail will break off mid-nail! It’s awful! I couldn’t deal with the pain any more and I went to Superdrug in a huff and with my finger in a band aid to hide the shame! Lol! When I saw this I thought it looked brilliant! I’ve used Sally Hanson nail polish before for ridge filling before a good manicure! This says to test it for a month and I did so.. The results weren’t AMAZING and if I’m honest very hard to tell! However, I do feel as though my nails are slightly stronger. They still flake a bit as shown in the image however, generally, they haven’t broken in around a week or two so I’ll keep using it! For the price I paid for it, I’ll be patient!

Rimmel London I HEART lasting finish nail varnish in double decker red

The colour of this polish is FANTASTIC! I’ve been into reds a lot this month and I’m LOVING this colour! It’s a complete dupe of a colour I had manicured on me around a month ago! The colour was OPI- thrill of brazil and I think this is exactly the same! The finish is really glossy and it looks beautiful for any time of the year! However, although the polish is shiny, it doesn’t last very long at all! The polish chips in no time, even with a base and top coat to protect it :( for the price though, it’s brilliant!

Ruby Hammer Recommends Beauty On The Go

Some of you may have seen my male up collection where I have TONNES of Ruby hammer recommends products! Ruby Hammer is a make up artist who made her own brand and I LOVE her products! The pigmentation and price are perfect! This palette is definitely perfect for on the go and is such a good size that I think I might take it to France on the weekend! There’s a wide range of eye shadow colours and some lovely coloured lip glosses with a handy mirror too! I would however, like some matte colours because they were all shimmery and I would probably like Ruby Hammer to be available more easily! I don’t see it in every Debenhams store, which isn’t very handy! Plus, I got it at an AMAZING price!

The train was on sale on the Debenhams site so thought I’d pick it up because I liked the storage solution and obviously I like the make up! The box surprised me completely! The box consists eye shadows, lipstics, lip glosses, nail varnishes, blushes, palettes and a whole manicure and pedicure kit! Everything a girl needs in the morning! This lipstick was my splurge of the month and I’m not disappointed! It’s the perfect colour to spruce up any outfit and I think it would flatter you, no matter what your skin tone! The lipstick is also long lasting and the colour can be built up or sheer! But the shine of the lipstick is perfect! A good dupe is Mac Impassioned (not as much of a shine)
