Fe-Blog-Uary Day 1- January Favourites 2014

I thought there would be no better way to introduce this blogging month by saying good bye to last month! I’ll be blogging every single day during February so keep your eyes peeled for some exciting things!

20140131-225106.jpg

January was an adventurous month for me and I didn’t have a lot of time to try new products or even look on the market for new releases however, these items definitely stood out to me more than any others!

20140131-230746.jpg
Elegant Touch Rapid Dry For Nails
I received this in a Glossy Box last month and really wanted my nails dry before I set off for somewhere! I literally had 5 mins and wanted to try a new nail varnish colour SOOOOO bad that I was prepared to not touch anything whilst getting dressed and getting my hijab on.. Which we all know needs fingers and thumbs! I was so glad when I found this and had 60 seconds for this to dry and my oh my.. Does it set them rock solid! This stuff don’t the job so well! It was so easy to spray onto nails and then it set with a nice glossy finish.. In no time at all! I will say that on the nails where I applied a few thick coats, it did still smudge but overall, it’s amazeballs!

20140131-230808.jpg
Inglot 80HP Brush
Since I’ve been using so many eyeshadows lately, I found this brush to be the best for smudging under my eyes which was definitely a look that I was rocking last month! I really like the rocker look at the moment and this is a super soft and stiff brush which blends eyeshadows effortlessly in hard to reach areas! It washes really easily and is the perfect size for any eye looks that need that ‘smudging’ effect!

20140131-231947.jpg
MAC Opulash Mascara
I hauled this mascara when I went to the Cosmetics Company store in Bicester Village a few months ago! I had never tried a MAC mascara and I didn’t have high hopes for using this because of the GINORMOUS brush however, after using this a few times I have found the perfect way to use it! I opened it and let it dry slightly over a few months (which I often have to do with mascaras) and then I apply this about 4 times over, repeating every application when the mascara is about 70% dry! It’s a bit of a faff but, the results are really good! I get voluminous and longer looking lashes which are the main things I want from a mascara!

20140131-232337.jpg
Philip Kingsley One more Day
I received this in a Glamour Beauty Box that I ordered some time last year because I’ve been really into dry shampoos and thought this would be amazing.. I wasn’t wrong! It’s a gorgeous fine mist of dry shampoo which leaves your hair feeling fresh and invigorated! It feels really cold on the scalp and doesn’t feel sticky after a few hours, like most dry shampoos do! I throughly enjoyed using this! I would say it isn’t the best for dark hair because it leaves a grey powdery look but if you spray from afar and really rough up your hair, you can’t tell at all! Was definitely a sample size worth getting!

20140131-232705.jpg
MAC Face and Body Foundation
When I bought this foundation, I knew that I’d love it because I love the idea of a light coverage, dewy looking and fuss free foundation, if ever I wear it! I just never seemed to get into this thought until last month, when I finally found a way to wear it best (with a primer underneath and set with Studio Fix by MAC). I love the finish it gives and it makes your skin look so healthy! This colour is way too dark for me though however, I don’t really mind the shade when I go out with it on as it looks fine in the daylight! I love how natural it looks and feels and I love the little bottle too.. So cute!

20140131-234357.jpg

20140131-234411.jpg
Khroma/ Kardashian Beauty Complete Face Palette
This palette has changed my life! It’s a really good selection of eyeshadows and face products which have made my beauty regime so easy on those days where I just can’t choose! This is supposed to be an ‘all-in-one’ kind of kit and it is so handy’ there are 4 matte and 4 shimmery (metallic) eyeshadows, a blusher, highlighter and bronzer in this kit.. All encased in a small little box with a good sized mirror! I love the natural shades and I think the colour payoff of the eyeshadows are really good! The highlighter makes your skin look so healthy and the blush and bronzer are just perfect for my skin tone! This palette was on my face all month in January!

20140131-234900.jpg
Laura Mercier Mineral Pressed Powder
I got this powder almost two years ago and despite using it so much, it’s doing really well! It’s a beautifully creamy powder which isn’t chalky rather, soft and almost like a powder foundation! I love this lighter shade under my eyes which I’ve needed, because last month was so busy! It set my concealer really well and helped brighten the eye area by heaps and bounds! What more could I ask for!?

What beauty products have you been enjoying? What were your favourites from last year?

2013 Beauty Favourites

20140117-202546.jpg

2013 was a good year for my beauty regiment! I have loved trying tonnes of new products and there are definitely some that I have used more than others! I’ve had to choose my most used and a lot of these are repurchases because I ran out of the first!

Garnier Simply Essentials 2-in-1 Make Up Remover – £3.25

20140117-202823.jpg

I started using this a few months after my Bio Derma finished! I had bought a another cleanser from L’Oreal but after that finished, I wanted to use something different! This cleanser is like a 2 in 1 solution which has an oil based remover which sits on top of the liquid at the bottom! Give it a shake, and this becomes your favourite cleanser EVER! It has a slightly greasy feeling because it does contain oil but I have quite oily skin and I don’t find that it makes me extra shiny or oily feeling! It removes makeup effortlessly and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth rather then dry, which a lot of cleansers can do! It’s good for your budget and Garnier is available worldwide, so take advantage of it no matter where in the world you are!

Soap & Glory Righteous Butter – £10

20140117-204750.jpg

This year has not been the best for my body because my eczema has returned and with a vengeance! Because I’ve been so dry all over for most of the year, I’ve had to incorporate a really thick body cream to help combat it and the only one that I’ve found which helps is the Righteous Butter! It’s super moisturising but isn’t cakey and doesn’t make me feel sticky, even when I sweat! TMI? Because it’s heavily scented, it gives off a nice odour too but doesn’t irritate my skin in the slightest! A tub lasts ages and it’s well worth the money! A definite must- have for me this year!

Lady Gaga Fame – £31

20140117-210603.jpg

This was my only new perfume purchase this year because I had put a ban on myself as I have so many but I have loved using this! It was on a really good offer during the Christmas time and having used a sample of it already, I knew I love it! It has a lovely scent which I truly feel can be worn any time of the day! It’s quite a deep smell and isn’t floral at all! Not one for younger people though as it’s quite a mature scent! The bottle is beautiful too with a real edgy design and the liquid is black! How cool is that?!

Benefit Fake Up Concealer – £18.50

20140117-211422.jpg

When I first got this concealer, I thought the coverage was not good and that it was too much moisture and not enough colour (concealer) in the tube! However, I’ve been using it since then and have found that with a dual fibre brush, this concealer is AMAZING! It looks super natural and I have the lightest shade so it’s extra brightening! I still have to set it so it’s not creaseless on me, as it claims! I just love this, though! It’s such a pleasure to use because it blends effortlessly and is so long lasting! I only use this under my eyes but it works for me as I never use concealer on the rest of my face anyway! If you can, grab it because although it costs a lot, I’ve used it for almost a whole year and there’s still a few months left in it!

Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara – £10.99

20140117-213004.jpg

When it comes to mascaras, I was the type of person who used to use a few mascaras at once and I was looking for a mascara a few years ago and found this one! I was so excited to see it on offer and because I didn’t want to open it, I left it sealed and so.. 2 years after buying, I have opened it! And it revives so many memories of my high school days! I love the thin brush and the extra liquid-y consistency because it just glides on! Granted, it’s not waterproof in the slightest and if you have oily eyelids, it will most likely transfer, but if like me, your eye makeup doesn’t smudge.. This lengthens and curls your lashes effortlessly!

Collection Colour Lash Clear Mascara – £1.99

20140117-214241.jpg

This year has been big on brows for me and by that, I mean that I’ve been trying to do something with them, rather than leaving them bare! I don’t really like the way my eyebrows look with pencil or powder through them, so when I found clear mascara, it helps to darken them and keep them in place without being OTT! I have repurchased this twice this year and it’s so good! It’s mega affordable and it lasts all day.. SUPERB!

L’Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim – £5.49

20140117-231432.jpg

Eyeliner used to be my only make up item and I’m so into it during summertime because it helps me to look I’ve made an effort, when really I haven’t! This felt tip applicator is really easy to use and makes eyeliner application so easy! I love using this because it it doesn’t dry out and ever since I bought it, I’ve stopped using my beloved gel eyeliners! This is so long lasting and super black! You can create a thick or thin line and you get a precise look! It’s really affordable and easy to get gold of and it comes in so handy when I’m on the go because I don’t need to carry brushes or faff around!

Z Palette Make Up Geek & MAC eywshadows

20140117-232125.jpg

20140117-232133.jpg

There was only one palette which I gravitated towards this year and that my be loved ‘neutral Z Palette’! This contains MAC and Makeup Geek eyeshadows and I’ve chopped and changed it tonnes if times in order to to get to this stage, where I love it! No matter what eye look I’m doing, I always gravitate to this palette and I’m a huge fan of MUG eyeshadows! They’re super pigmented, have a great colour range and are so cheap! The MAC shadows I also got on quite a good offer so no hard feelings? I use this palette every time I wear eyeshadow and even when travelling, I take this with me! Obsessed? I think so! ‘Cocoa Bear’ from MUG is my favourite eyeshadow of all time because it compliments my eyes a lot!

Essie nail varnish in Splash of Grenadine – £7.99

20140118-114146.jpg

Every time I paint my nails, I have this big battle with myself about the colour I should use! I love purple colours on me and when I saw this shade on someone on a Instagram, I grabbed it! I always have this on and it looks good on short and long nails! It has a way of adding colour but still being fairly mellow! I’m so glad we now sell Essie in the UK in drug stores because they go have unique shades! The brush on this is super thick which makes application really easy and it doesn’t chip as easily as other Essie nail varnishes I have tried!

L’Oreal Glam Shine in Tart Lollipop – £6.99

20140118-114540.jpg

Now, with this product, it’s not about the colour, it’s about the product inside.. Amazing! I got really big on glosses at the beginning of the year because I fell in love with the look of pink shiny lips! I love having my lips feel hydrated, and this was the best way I could do that! I love the applicator, the small packaging and I love the way that my lips tingle slightly, after I use it! It gives a super glossy look and this is definitely one lip gloss that I have reached for constantly, over the year!

No. 7 Stay Perfect Lipstick in Classic Rose – £9.50

20140118-114938.jpg

This one is a but if a cheat because I believe the colour is limited edition.. If not, GO GET IT! I got this colour in a free gift set a few months ago but by far, I’ve used this the most out of all my other lips products! I love deep pink colours and because this one is matte, it’s so easy to wear! It has a velvety finish but even when it is dabbed on and used as a stain, it looks so fresh and natural! A little goes a long way because it’s a stain but I really enjoy every time I apply it!

MONU Illuminating Primer – £22

20140118-115658.jpg

I don’t always use a primer but for this product, I’d like to make an exception please! I recovered this in a Glossy Box a few months ago and was blown away by how amazing it it! It is supposed to work under foundation to give your face a brightening effect but I think it looks amazing even on its own.. If you’re pale enough. It makes your skin look NEW! Which is such a strange thing to say but it truly looks like you have flawless skin that is super healthy! I’ve still got the sample size because it seems to be lasting forever so I won’t purchase the full size until I’m running out of this! It doesn’t seem to make my make up last longer, but rest assured, this has been one if my most favourite beauty products this year!

And there we have it folks, the end of another year! Here’s to 2014 being better than quite a rough 2013! I’ve got big plans for my blog this year so stay tuned for next month for Fe-Blog-Uary where I’ll be blogging every day of the month!

What were your favourite products of 2013? Or, was your favourite event?

October Beauty Favourites!

20131101-133203.jpg
It’s that time of year again when a month has gone by and you’re nearing the end of the year! Have a look at some of my favourites from the month of October.. Very autumn/fall inspired!

20131101-133228.jpg
L’oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Solution – £4.99
When I bought this cleanser, I wasn’t expecting high praises for it, but I’m amazed at how well it removes makeup. It’s effortless and is so simple. It really does feel like water and leaves no residue on your skin at all, making it feel as soft as the day your mother birthed you! Definitely worth it!

20131101-133313.jpg
Burberry Body – £45 (35ml)
When autumn/ fall comes around, I love changing up my scents a bit. Every season, I like to have a set of new scents that I try to use up (mainly because I have so much perfume). But last month, Burberry Body had me going crazy! I got this sample in a GlossyBox and I fell in love with it but I forgot I had it! I’ve now ordered a full size and I’m so excited for it to arrive so I can actually spray it rather than spill it on myself! It’s a lovely day and evening scent and is really musky and deep.. Not fruity in the slightest! It’ll be one of the most sophisticated scents in your collection!

20131101-133324.jpg
MONU Illuminating Primer – £22 50ml
I received this in this months GlossyBox and although I’ve only used it for 1 week, I’m in awe! This is a primer which holds makeup in place and makes your face look brighter and glowing! Check, check, check for all the benefits they claim this cream to have! It’s amazing! It’s light to put on top of moisturiser and it adds a really subtle glitter to your face, which is actually so flattering! I love using this whilst the heating has been on because my skin can look quite dry however, not with this baby on my skin.. It makes your skin look more radiant than ever!

20131101-135102.jpg
MAC 109 brush – £27
When I bought this brush, I was expecting big things because of the hype about it and I’m not surprised! I have loved using this brush for so many things: blusher, bronzer, contour and powder! It’s the perfect size because it’s not too big and the shape means it fits in the crevices of your face really easily. It’s not the softest brush by any means, but it grabs and dispenses powder really well all over the skin!

20131101-135114.jpg

20131101-135139.jpg
Benefit Fake Up Concealer (in shade 1) – £18.50
And here we are again with yet another staple product from Benefit Cosmetics! They are doing really well with me lately! I bought this around 6 months ago and initially disliked t! It claims to be hydrating and creaseless and it really is hydrating! You can tell from the swatch how moisturising and creamy it is! Creaseless: no! May be my eye creases are a little too deep to handle for this little wand of magic. I don’t mind at all though! During the colder months, I’ve loved applying this to brighten and hydrate my under eye area! It has medium coverage. It’s difficult to get used to at first but it’s SOOOOO good once you get the hang of it.. LOVE!

20131101-140231.jpg

20131101-140248.jpg

20131101-140259.jpg
No. 7 Stay Perfect Lipstick in Classic Rose – £9.50
And next up, this amazing lipstick! When autumn/fall comes around, I have to have a lip colour a little darker but I can’t rock mega dark lips, mainly because I’m a wimp! I like wearing rose colours because I feel they suit my skin tone! I actually got this lipstick free after buying a few things from No.7 (comes in a set with a lip brush, gloss and lipstick). I love how velvety it feels and it’s super pigmented! It’s completely matte in colour and lasts ages! Wears off beautifully and is as cheap as chips if you want to buy it.. Staple for the colder months for sure!

20131101-141112.jpg

20131101-141120.jpg
MAC Posey Cream Blush – £18
When autumn comes, my cheeks go super dry and applying powder seems like the worst thing in the world, so cream blush is a saviour! I mentioned this blush in a blog last year and I still love it as much as I did then! It’s a gorgeous orange- toned brown colour that works superb on that pale cold skin we all get in autumn/ winter! It isn’t too creamy and stays on my skin for longer than any other cream blush, plus, it’s super pigmented so I’ve been loving using this!

20131101-165429.jpg

20131101-165833.jpg
Benefit Watts Up – £24.50
Like I mentioned before, the colder months dry out and my skin and leave it feeling really horrible and dry in areas. So I tend to break out the highlighter more so during wintertime! I received a sample of this highlighter and ignore it for a while until I tried it a few months ago and was blown away! It’s almost the exact same shade as my skin (may be a little more pink) and has a beautiful shimmer! It really does look wet! You can see from the swatch how it applies before and after blending! It’s not a gold nor silver shimmer so will suit almost every skin tone! Perfect for winter!

July Favourites

20130802-171927.jpg

This month has been amazing in so many ways: Ramadhan, weather and most importantly.. WEATHER! :) I can’t help but say that the heat doesn’t affect me in the slightest! And so when the sunshine comes around, I’m all over it! I’ve found some wonderful products this month.. So without further ado, here are my July Favourites:

20130802-171939.jpg

Moschino Cheap and Chic ‘Hippy Fizz’ perfume- £21.98
I got this perfume this time last year whilst on a shopping trip with my mum! I had been transferred to a new location for work and they had a Beauty Bay there! My mum noticed this perfume because of the name and when she picked it up to smell it we both just stared at it in awe! It’s perfect.. I can’t even describe anything like it before! It’s a fresh, fruity, citrus scent and it smells good on so many skins! It lingers for ages.. I mean: spray it on your coat and smell it for weeks! It’s affordable too so a bonus!

20130802-172349.jpg

Benefit ‘Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer’- £24.50
I heard so many good things about this primer that I had to get it when I saw it! When it comes to base makeup, my skin is useless! I can wipe my face after a few hours of wearing makeup and there’ll be nothing on the wipe! I don’t know whether my skin absorbs it or whether it just doesn’t hold it well! However, this primer is revolutionary for me! I wouldn’t quite say a 15 hour hold for my foundation but it’s a lot more than a few hours! It feels a bit greasy when going on your skin but doesn’t look it at all! And because its a stick, no faffing with brushes and stuff.. Just slide it on and blend in your foundation on top! One downside: it clings to dry spots on the face so if you have patches of dryness, it will cling on to and enhance them!

20130802-172401.jpg

Maybelline ‘The Falsies’ mascara- £7.99
I love me some mascara! My lashes are ok-ish. I have length but no curl and volume so I’m always on the hunt for a good mascara! I’m prone to a few layers of mascara too because I like the clumpy look on myself! When Tanya from Pixi2woo raved about this mascara, I knew I wanted it! I can relate to a lot of the skincare and makeup advice she gives because we have really similar skin types! This mascara really does look like false lashes! It has a bristle hair type brush which I don’t mind at all and the shape and liquid is just perfect to start using straight away (usually I have to wait a few months for my mascara to dry out). I love this.. Miss. A.. This one is coming your way!

20130802-173205.jpg

Benefit ‘Boi-ing’ concealer in shade 3- £17.50
When I got this concealer, it was a bit too dark for me because I had matched myself up for the summer months but now it matches, I’m crazy about it! It has such a great texture and the coverage is excellent. Although it creases on me if I don’t set it, it lasts ages and looks flawless! It’s creamy and is best applied with fingers so again.. No faffing with brushes! For the winter months, I’ll definitely get a lighter shade and use it then too!

20130802-173211.jpg

Premae Harmony Moisturising Creme Balm- £27.50
I received this in a glossy box a few months ago and never tried it until this month! It’s a balm, so you would think it has a heavy texture and creamy finish but you’d be wrong! Although it’s a balm, it’s really lightweight and blends into the skin leaving a seamless finish. It looks great underneath foundation because it makes the skin matte yet still smooth! You only need a tiny bit of it so this will last me ages!

20130802-173757.jpg

Topshop lipstick in ‘Crystal’- £9
I got this lipstick a few months ago and I really wanted to try a Topshop lipstick because everyone raves about them! I have to say.. I can understand why! The texture is really creamy and they’re long lasting. They have a fantastic colour range too but I chose the sheer pink with crazy glitter in it. This is a pH adjusting lipstick so will look different on everyone but I’m so pleased about the way it looks on me! It’s affordable and good quality!

20130802-173825.jpg

20130802-173831.jpg

Soap & Glory Cheekmate- £8
When it comes to the summertime, you just want to throw on a blush and hope it stays cause it’s too hot to look colourless and I’m too lazy to reapply.. That’s where stains come in. I’m a big fan of stains and in summer, I love them even more. This S&G one is a gel like consistency and is uber pigmented! You only need a small dot of this stuff and it does the job. It looks natural and leaves your face looking fresh! You can see in the picture how naturally it blends in.

20130802-174559.jpg

20130802-174604.jpg

Bourjois ‘Delice De Soleil’ bronzer in 14- £8.99
This shade bronzer is for olive tanned skin and I love how they say which bronzer is best for which skin. So this bronzer is mostly matte apart from a few shimmers but I can’t see them when I swatch it. It looks great because its not too orange, red or muddy. It’s just a perfect bronze colour which looks natural and lovely! Smells really good too!

20130802-174832.jpg

20130802-174840.jpg

Makeup Geek eyeshadow/ Z palette
I’ve saved the best until last here. Welcome to my Z palette! This is basically a magnetic palette which you can put pans into. Be that blush, eyeshadow or whatever, if its got a magnet on it, it’ll go in here! Not only do I love the palette, I love these eyeshadows! These are all Make Up Geek eyeshadows which I got a few months ago! I have a tonne more eyeshadows than this but this is a little neutrals palette I organised! I love all of these colours for summer because they look bronze, shimmery and perfect for creating any look! The eyeshadows are pigmented and so soft and creamy! I feel as though they’re better than MAC and they aren’t half as expensive! The colours:
(Left to right going down)
Corrupt (blackest black in the world)
Peaches and Cream
Cocoa Bear (my favourite)
Glamorous
Latte
Creme Brule
Shimma Shimma
Prom Night
Mocha

April Beauty Favourites!

20130429-214614.jpg

I’ve been blogging everyday during the month of April and I’ve mentioned some of the beauty essentials that I’ve been loving but here’s a post collectively showing you all the products!

The biggest change for me has been foundation! I’ve had Nars Sheer Glow for ages but recently I’ve been using it mixed with moisturiser and by itself (when I want more coverage). I love the colour, how it feels and how it looks!

20130429-214642.jpg

20130429-214646.jpg
** Nars Sheer Glow- Light 4 Deauville

Whenever I use foundation, I have to contour my face and this product has saved my life! I love using it to contour my cheekbones, jawline, temples as well as my nose and even crease! This colour is perfect for me during summer!

20130429-214632.jpg

20130429-214637.jpg
** Sleek Face Contour Kit- Medium

When I’m not using foundation I’ve been using my Laura Mercier Mineral Pressed Powder! This is a full coverage foundation but during these warmer months, wearing a powder helps set the face! This colour is perfect and it helps make your skin look flawless!

20130429-214656.jpg

20130429-214701.jpg
** Laura Mercier Mineral Pressed Powder- Real Sands

I recently done a blog post in this MUA eyeshadow palette saying how similar it was to the Urban Decay Naked Palette! This is such good value for money and I’ve been loving a neutral eye for the days when I don’t want to wear much on my eyes but still want to look made up!

20130429-214706.jpg

20130429-214709.jpg
** MUA- Undressed

Instead of using winged eyeliner, I’ve been using my KIKO Super Colour Eyeliner on my bottom lash line! I love how fine the felt too applicator is and the colours are so vivid! They look fantastic as a pop of colour to the face!

20130429-214714.jpg

20130429-214719.jpg
** KIKO Super Colour Eye Liners

MAC Pink Swoon was the first ever blush I bought from MAC! And I’ve loved it since I ever got it! It’s a lovely sheer pink colour that is buildable.. Although it doesn’t last all day! I love the look it gives your skin and I think it would suit any skin colouring!

20130429-214724.jpg

20130429-214728.jpg
** MAC- Pink Swoon

I’ve never been one for highlighters but I’m going eyebrow crazy lately! A well kept eye brow really does make a well kept face! I love the cream to powder formula and the highlighting end is a perfect colour for highlighting your eyebrow arch, inner corner and even cheekbones!

20130429-214736.jpg
** KIKO- Perfect Eyes Highlighting Duo

I’ve loved blogging everyday during April and I’d like to thank everyone who’s kept up! I’ll be back soon with more!

March beauty favourites!

20130401-121926.jpg

With the wonderful month of March back, I’m getting into the full spirit of Spring and there’s a few staple products that I’ve been using during last month! So I thought for the first day of Blogging April, I’d show you my beauty favourites!

Revlon Grow Luscious mascara is my favourite mascara for this month! It takes me around 2 months to finish off a mascara and I’ve been using this one on and off for the past 6 months! I opened it and instantly disliked it but after a week or two of using it I was like: “WOW”! This really does help to make your lashes look naturally longer! I’d suggest letting it dry out for a few months before using it because it feels very strange and unusually wet at first! The brush is HUGE too which causes a lot of mess on your eyelids but makes application so much quicker!

20130401-005501.jpg

Too Faced Shadow Insurance has been the best eye shadow primer I’ve used so far! I used Urban Decay Primer Potion for a little while and found that it felt the exact same as this one! But Too Faced lasts SOOO much longer during the day! I love using it by itself to stop my eyelids from getting oily and it does a fantastic job!

Essie Muchi Muchi has been a must in my books! It’s the perfect soft and pastel pink for Spring! If you love your nails looking clean and natural without doing French tips, this nail varnish is the one for you! You can do so much with this in terms of nail art too!

Sleek have my favourite eye shadow palettes by when they released their Blush by Three blushers, I grabbed the one I knew I’d use the most in Pink Spirit. The colours are as vivid as they look in the camera and all of the colours look fantastic however, I think the first and last colours look a little too similar when on the cheek.. But I like the fact you can use those two colours as contours and blushers and its a perfect 2 in 1 colour!

Bioderma has been a staple in my cleansing routine! It takes off make up effortlessly and makes the end of a hard day that little bit easier! Happy days! It’s readily available in French Chemists and not so much in England but the rumour is, it’ll be arriving soon! It’s inexpensive and so effective even though it feels like water! A must!

November favourites!

20121203-170410.jpg

With the wedding almost here, I’ve been rocking the ‘no make up’ look to ensure my skin stays clear and that we stay like friends until the big day! Because you can’t cheat a massive zit the size of Everest on your forehead! However, when I have been wearing make up, these are my favourites from last month!

By the way.. I’VE BEEN LOVING EYESHADOW! I’ve been experimenting with different colours and textures a lot this month and have been rocking dark and bright lips too!! Go me! Woo!

The first favourite has to be the L’oreal Lumi Magique primer! This is a lightweight luminescent primer which has an amazing shine! I must say I don’t think it makes my make up last longer but when I wear it beneath my foundation around the centre of my face and when I use it as a highlighter it looks fantastic and lasts all day! It’s a really good size as I’ve had it for months and used it loads and still hasn’t died on me!

L’oreal Lumi Magique Primer £9.99

The next big thing for me has been mascara which I think is a staple for most women! When you have those days when you don’t want to wear make up but don’t want to look like you’ve rolled out of bed, mascara is your saviour! My favourite has been Collections Super Size Fake Lash which is brilliant! I have to say, I bought this towards the summer time and opened it so that the liquid would dry out a little because it was too runny! But, now I love it! The brush is a perfect size and I love the way it makes my lashes look! Doesn’t break the bank either.. TRIPLE BONUS!

Collection SuperSize lash £2.99

Another good one for November was my Deluxe Crease Brush from Samantha Chapman’s Real Techniques range! It’s fantastic for concealer! Perhaps not so much for the crease as the name suggests! It’s the perfect size for underneath your eyes and to cover up blemishes and is just the correct thickness! It comes in a set with other brushes which are fairly decent.. But that’s a whole mother blog post! All in all, SUPERB!

Real Techniques Starter Set £21.99

In coalition with the brush is the Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer which I featured in a haul past back in summer! The pot comes with a three step system!
1.) Concealer for brightening under eye area
2.) Concealer for your face
3.) A translucent lightweight powder!
I always mix the two concealers together because the salmon coloured one is almost like a corrector! The brightening one is the perfect shade! They are quite thick and creamy concealers but feel fantastic and used with the Deluxe Crease Brush, they last all day!

Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer in medium £10.00

The next favourite has to be a lipstick! And not only that but a MAC lipstick! I love this colour called Dubonnet which is an amplified finish which I think is perfect for the winter! It’s not quite a brown, not red but isn’t maroon either! It looks gorgeous on any skin tone and I love it more than anything else this month! The texture is so creamy and it wears off beautifully too! No crusty lips for me thanks!

20121203-170326.jpg
MAC Dubonnet (amplified finish) £12.60

When I have been wearing foundation it’s MAC MatchMaster which I use in shade 1.0 (the lightest shade). It’s a fantastic medium coverage foundation which is most definitely build able! I love using this because it actually matches in with your skin colour (as the name suggests). It’s lovely and brightening, not drying and comes in a massive bottle! Hooray for MAC!!

MAC MatchMaster foundation in shade 1.0 £22.50

As I mentioned, I’ve been loving the eye bling and there’s no other thing is turn to other than my Sleek make up palettes! I’ve loved using every single colour in this palette called Storm! I’ve created looks for day and night from this handy little bundle of joy! It has a lot of shimmers in it but the colours are fantastic! They are extremely pigmented and the palette costs just £7.99 for a palette with 12 colours in! You can use the colours for your brows too!

AUTUMN/FALL FAVOURITES!

After summer, the next best season for my has to be Autumn! I love the feeling of being cosy and warm inside with a nice cup of something warm!

20121112-225405.jpg

And there’s a few things I always make sure I have in the colder months!

A hot drink, and for me that has to be a gorgeous Chai Tea Latte! Whenever I go out, I always get one! To be honest I’m not fussy about where from and I’m not a Statbucks junkie so anywhere that sells it, will have me in there! I love spivey food (OBVIOUSLY! I’m Asian) and so having a coffee drink with a bit of something different in it.. Really warms you up!

20121112-224335.jpg
** During the winter months, coffee shops release seasonal inspired drinks, so don’t be afraid to try something new!

A shnuggly night suit! If you know me, you know I love my night suits and I found THE BEST night suit in the world from Next (A UK retailer) who have this AMAZING night suit in their collection at the moment! It’s warm, fussy and looks so nice!

20121112-224433.jpg
**Avoid cotton in the colder months! It’s just not shnuggly enough!

A clean and cosy environment always helps to make you feel a little better when you’ve spent a hard day in the cold! For me, Autumn means getting some autumnal warm bedding, throwing on a few more cushions than usual in my bed and making sure everything is in its place! So when you come home from a hard day at work, your bedroom is cosy, warm and fresh!

20121112-225409.jpg
** Don’t try to start tidying your whole room within 1 day! Take it step by step and rather than stressing yourself out with a time limit, use it as a therapeutic method to de-clutter and de-stress your room.. And mind!

Changing my make up to autumnal colours always helps! I put the hot pinks and bright blues away to use darker and deeper shades! I love plum, dark brown and for a flash of an acceptable colour, lilac! Changing your nails really helps to spice up the whole look!

20121112-224734.jpg
** Lilac is a colour you can wear all year round so if you love your brights just a little too much, don’t be afraid of some purple loving!

The wardrobe also takes a dramatic change! I love colour, but the wearing bright yellow just makes me feel weird when it’s freezing outside! My colour for this years fall time is OXBLOOD! Red is my favourite colour and I love any shade of it! I think no matter what your age, race and where you live, oxblood is your perfect colour for autumn!

20121112-225124.jpg
** Start layering with your items! Don’t be afraid to mix patterns and materials cause that’s really fashionable at the moment!

September non/ beauty favourites

So I recently done my beauty favourites of September and thought I’d stir the waters by doing a non beauty favourites post!!! All about the things I like or have enjoyed doing during the month is August!

Lets start with.. SURPRISES!!! So as some of you may have read, I had a lovely cousin of mine come round and seen as ill be moving away soon after getting married, I wanted to make her stay special! I loved giving her surprises throughout the day and seeing her reaction on the things I had planned! I done a double whammy by surprising my mum along with her though :) surprising people with gifts, favours or good is definitely a favourite of mine that I will continue to do!

20121003-194014.jpg

Favourite place of the month has to go to the Millennium Dome! It’s now Valle the o2 Arena but was built in the year 2000 as a mark of the new millennium! It took years to build and is right on the edge of the River Thames in Central London! I am from London, live in London and LOVE London but had never been! So I had such a good time when I went there for the first time last week! I loved the rather, atmosphere and the beautiful scenery! If you live in the UK, definitely check out all the offers that are available for the shows in the o2 because its definitely worth it.

20121003-193922.jpg

Next has to be a favourite food! What have I loved eating??? Has to be donuts! I’ve got an obsession with them! I’ve loved munching through the icing and sprinkles to a chewy soft centre! In fact, ill be doing a blog post on how to make your own donuts soon!

20121003-193842.jpg

The next favourite is a piece of clothing! For me, this has to be the new flatforms that have come into fashion recently! I recently bought a pair from River Island and will be purchasing more as time goes on because they are SO comfy! Just be careful, because of their shape, they can hurt the ball of your foot if you stand for too long!

20121003-193935.jpg

Next favourite.. I don’t a blog post on it too! GLASSES AND HIJAB! I’ve loved this new look and I’m SOOOOO going to be wearing this to death this winter! If like me, the prescription of your lenses is quite high and your glasses make your eyes look small, order some clear lens glasses and wear with contacts for a bold fashion statement! ASOS have some great pairs that I’ve bought recently!

20121003-193928.jpg

Last but not least, my favourite interior decorating item is candles! The colder months have arrived and there’s nothing I love more than lighting a massive candle and eating some yummy good! I’m loving angle ornaments too! This tea light holder I got from TK Maxx and I would recommend keeping your eyes peeled with their products because I’ve been visiting there more and more often!
