2013 Beauty Favourites

20140117-202546.jpg

2013 was a good year for my beauty regiment! I have loved trying tonnes of new products and there are definitely some that I have used more than others! I’ve had to choose my most used and a lot of these are repurchases because I ran out of the first!

Garnier Simply Essentials 2-in-1 Make Up Remover – £3.25

20140117-202823.jpg

I started using this a few months after my Bio Derma finished! I had bought a another cleanser from L’Oreal but after that finished, I wanted to use something different! This cleanser is like a 2 in 1 solution which has an oil based remover which sits on top of the liquid at the bottom! Give it a shake, and this becomes your favourite cleanser EVER! It has a slightly greasy feeling because it does contain oil but I have quite oily skin and I don’t find that it makes me extra shiny or oily feeling! It removes makeup effortlessly and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth rather then dry, which a lot of cleansers can do! It’s good for your budget and Garnier is available worldwide, so take advantage of it no matter where in the world you are!

Soap & Glory Righteous Butter – £10

20140117-204750.jpg

This year has not been the best for my body because my eczema has returned and with a vengeance! Because I’ve been so dry all over for most of the year, I’ve had to incorporate a really thick body cream to help combat it and the only one that I’ve found which helps is the Righteous Butter! It’s super moisturising but isn’t cakey and doesn’t make me feel sticky, even when I sweat! TMI? Because it’s heavily scented, it gives off a nice odour too but doesn’t irritate my skin in the slightest! A tub lasts ages and it’s well worth the money! A definite must- have for me this year!

Lady Gaga Fame – £31

20140117-210603.jpg

This was my only new perfume purchase this year because I had put a ban on myself as I have so many but I have loved using this! It was on a really good offer during the Christmas time and having used a sample of it already, I knew I love it! It has a lovely scent which I truly feel can be worn any time of the day! It’s quite a deep smell and isn’t floral at all! Not one for younger people though as it’s quite a mature scent! The bottle is beautiful too with a real edgy design and the liquid is black! How cool is that?!

Benefit Fake Up Concealer – £18.50

20140117-211422.jpg

When I first got this concealer, I thought the coverage was not good and that it was too much moisture and not enough colour (concealer) in the tube! However, I’ve been using it since then and have found that with a dual fibre brush, this concealer is AMAZING! It looks super natural and I have the lightest shade so it’s extra brightening! I still have to set it so it’s not creaseless on me, as it claims! I just love this, though! It’s such a pleasure to use because it blends effortlessly and is so long lasting! I only use this under my eyes but it works for me as I never use concealer on the rest of my face anyway! If you can, grab it because although it costs a lot, I’ve used it for almost a whole year and there’s still a few months left in it!

Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara – £10.99

20140117-213004.jpg

When it comes to mascaras, I was the type of person who used to use a few mascaras at once and I was looking for a mascara a few years ago and found this one! I was so excited to see it on offer and because I didn’t want to open it, I left it sealed and so.. 2 years after buying, I have opened it! And it revives so many memories of my high school days! I love the thin brush and the extra liquid-y consistency because it just glides on! Granted, it’s not waterproof in the slightest and if you have oily eyelids, it will most likely transfer, but if like me, your eye makeup doesn’t smudge.. This lengthens and curls your lashes effortlessly!

Collection Colour Lash Clear Mascara – £1.99

20140117-214241.jpg

This year has been big on brows for me and by that, I mean that I’ve been trying to do something with them, rather than leaving them bare! I don’t really like the way my eyebrows look with pencil or powder through them, so when I found clear mascara, it helps to darken them and keep them in place without being OTT! I have repurchased this twice this year and it’s so good! It’s mega affordable and it lasts all day.. SUPERB!

L’Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim – £5.49

20140117-231432.jpg

Eyeliner used to be my only make up item and I’m so into it during summertime because it helps me to look I’ve made an effort, when really I haven’t! This felt tip applicator is really easy to use and makes eyeliner application so easy! I love using this because it it doesn’t dry out and ever since I bought it, I’ve stopped using my beloved gel eyeliners! This is so long lasting and super black! You can create a thick or thin line and you get a precise look! It’s really affordable and easy to get gold of and it comes in so handy when I’m on the go because I don’t need to carry brushes or faff around!

Z Palette Make Up Geek & MAC eywshadows

20140117-232125.jpg

20140117-232133.jpg

There was only one palette which I gravitated towards this year and that my be loved ‘neutral Z Palette’! This contains MAC and Makeup Geek eyeshadows and I’ve chopped and changed it tonnes if times in order to to get to this stage, where I love it! No matter what eye look I’m doing, I always gravitate to this palette and I’m a huge fan of MUG eyeshadows! They’re super pigmented, have a great colour range and are so cheap! The MAC shadows I also got on quite a good offer so no hard feelings? I use this palette every time I wear eyeshadow and even when travelling, I take this with me! Obsessed? I think so! ‘Cocoa Bear’ from MUG is my favourite eyeshadow of all time because it compliments my eyes a lot!

Essie nail varnish in Splash of Grenadine – £7.99

20140118-114146.jpg

Every time I paint my nails, I have this big battle with myself about the colour I should use! I love purple colours on me and when I saw this shade on someone on a Instagram, I grabbed it! I always have this on and it looks good on short and long nails! It has a way of adding colour but still being fairly mellow! I’m so glad we now sell Essie in the UK in drug stores because they go have unique shades! The brush on this is super thick which makes application really easy and it doesn’t chip as easily as other Essie nail varnishes I have tried!

L’Oreal Glam Shine in Tart Lollipop – £6.99

20140118-114540.jpg

Now, with this product, it’s not about the colour, it’s about the product inside.. Amazing! I got really big on glosses at the beginning of the year because I fell in love with the look of pink shiny lips! I love having my lips feel hydrated, and this was the best way I could do that! I love the applicator, the small packaging and I love the way that my lips tingle slightly, after I use it! It gives a super glossy look and this is definitely one lip gloss that I have reached for constantly, over the year!

No. 7 Stay Perfect Lipstick in Classic Rose – £9.50

20140118-114938.jpg

This one is a but if a cheat because I believe the colour is limited edition.. If not, GO GET IT! I got this colour in a free gift set a few months ago but by far, I’ve used this the most out of all my other lips products! I love deep pink colours and because this one is matte, it’s so easy to wear! It has a velvety finish but even when it is dabbed on and used as a stain, it looks so fresh and natural! A little goes a long way because it’s a stain but I really enjoy every time I apply it!

MONU Illuminating Primer – £22

20140118-115658.jpg

I don’t always use a primer but for this product, I’d like to make an exception please! I recovered this in a Glossy Box a few months ago and was blown away by how amazing it it! It is supposed to work under foundation to give your face a brightening effect but I think it looks amazing even on its own.. If you’re pale enough. It makes your skin look NEW! Which is such a strange thing to say but it truly looks like you have flawless skin that is super healthy! I’ve still got the sample size because it seems to be lasting forever so I won’t purchase the full size until I’m running out of this! It doesn’t seem to make my make up last longer, but rest assured, this has been one if my most favourite beauty products this year!

And there we have it folks, the end of another year! Here’s to 2014 being better than quite a rough 2013! I’ve got big plans for my blog this year so stay tuned for next month for Fe-Blog-Uary where I’ll be blogging every day of the month!

What were your favourite products of 2013? Or, was your favourite event?

Red Roulette

20140113-001411.jpg

For those of you who don’t know, red is my favourite colour and I LOVE red makeup on my skin tone! I don’t often wear red clothes but I always manage find a way to wear red somewhere on me! Take a look at my favourite red makeup products!

Revlon Lip Butter in ‘Cherry Tart’ – £5 (On offer at Superdrug right now with 3 for 2)

20140113-002149.jpg

20140113-002209.jpg

20140113-002228.jpg

When it comes to red lips, it’s a stark and sometimes outlandish thing to wear with a hijab so I find wearing a sheer wash of it on the lips is a nice way to pull it off. Lip butters have superb colour pay off and are super moisturising too! They don’t hurt the bank balance too much either!

Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss in ‘Golden Red’ – £15

20140113-003308.jpg

20140113-003324.jpg

20140113-003342.jpg

As well as sheer lipsticks, lip glosses are a nice way to wear red. This Elizabeth Arden red is a vibrant red with amazing gold glitter in it! It makes the red a little more subtle somehow and it makes your lips look incredible! This colour would suit most skin tones!

MAC blusher in ‘Frankly Scarlet’ – £18

20140113-004022.jpg

20140113-004051.jpg

The scariest blush you’ve ever seen? I thought so too, until I tried it on and it blew me away! This was the second purchase I ever made from MAC and It’s one of my all time favourite MAC products! It creates an amazing flush to the cheeks but doesn’t look too much.. Just apply it with a light hand because it’s super pigmented! Darker skin..? This would look AMAZING on you!

MakeUp Geek Eyeshadow in ‘Razzleberry’ – £3.63

20140113-004555.jpg

20140113-004611.jpg

MakeUp Geek eyeshadows are one of my favourite brands of eyeshadow! MAC quality for a fraction of the price! They’re super pigmented and this colour is amazing! It’s a reddish/ pink with gold glitter running through it! Notorious for being hard to wear on eyes, red isn’t the easiest colour to wear but experiment with it to see how it best suits you.

Sleek i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in ‘Sunset’ – £7.99

20140113-005825.jpg

20140113-005846.jpg

I love Sleek palettes and this red-based palette makes wearing red eyeshadow so easy! The colours are mostly shimmery but there is a matte black. I love how the colour mix together to form new shades and how they look on their lonesome! I don’t use it a tonne during the summer but for some reason I love the way the colours look on pale winter skin!

Nails Inc. ‘Big Red Apple’ – £11.99
Rimmel 60 seconds ‘Double Decker Red’ – £3.69
Essie ‘Russian Roulette’ – £7.99

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

IT’S HERE!! It’s arrived! And let’s have a moment of silence for its beauty in all it’s glory!!

20131217-204836.jpg

The much awaited Naked 3 palette has been released and just in time for Christmas (cleverly done Urban Decay). I was in town on the day if the launch and didn’t really have high hopes of getting ahold of it but I managed to get the last one in the store! I have the other Naked palettes and love them like no other so I knew I’d love this one just as much!

20131217-205001.jpg

20131217-205220.jpg

The Packaging
Much like the Naked 2 palette, it comes in a metal tin with the 12 eyeshadows and brush inside! The inside is plastic lines and it comes with a big long mirror. It’s small, lightweight and ultra thin so excellent for travel. The outside looks like rouged fabric and is rose gold in colour with Naked 3 written in lovely handwriting embossed on the front! It’s really appealing to look at and would look great on a makeup/ vanity table! Originally it comes in a cardboard box.

20131217-205320.jpg

The Product
The eyeshadows themselves are the same size as the other two palettes and range in finish and shade (of course). There are three matte colour which are the ‘blending’ colours in my eyes so, cleverly thought out by Urban Decay there. There are four ‘foil’ finishes which are basically chunky and loose pigment style shades which have quite a bit of fall out but are really pigmented! And the other eyeshadows are ‘satin’ like finishes which either have a glitter running through them or are just a solid colour with a hue of another colour running in it. All of the colours are really pigmented, smooth and blend really well. The palette also comes with four small sample sized primer potions (which they claim would last a week each). There is also a dual ended synthetic brush which has a flat shader brush for applying colour on one end and a fluffy blending brush on the other.

20131217-205326.jpg

The Price
£37. The palette is available in Debenhams, Beauty Bay, House of Fraser. If you’re from the US, the Urban Decay website. This price includes the primer potions, brush and eyeshadow palette.

20131217-205333.jpg

The Verdict
All in all, after all the hype of the palette, I think it’s done really well! They’ve managed to make this palette different from the other two. I remember reading reviews from people when the Naked 2 was released of people saying you couldn’t tell the first and second palette apart. But this one is completely different with its warmer shades and an overall more ‘pinky’ vibe. It’s a nice colour collection and a lovely romantic feel throughout the palette! You can create tonnes of looks with the colours and not just with each individual colour, they’re good when they’re layered! The complaint I have is that the foiled colours have a lot of fall out. This one is SO overpriced! It costs £5 more than the other two at £37 and to be honest, the packaging isn’t that amazing and for reason, I feel as though MAC packaging although simple, is a lot more classy and sturdy. However, for 12 eyeshadows and a brush, the value is still amazing! For those of us on a smaller budget, let’s just wait for MUA or another drugstore brand to come out with a dupe for the palette! And when they do, I’ll keep you updated!

20131217-205339.jpg

All in all: 9/10 for this bundle of joy! It’s an amazing palette and lived up to all the hype. Would have got another point if they managed to make it a little cheaper so that a lot more people could justify its price!

Festive Glitter

When Christmas time comes around, everyone starts feeling festive! It’s time to break out the glitter and even though I don’t celebrate Christmas, I enjoy glitter! The easiest way to incorporate it into your makeup, is by using eye liner! Take a look at some of my favourite picks:

20131217-154054.jpg

I’ve tried to include as many different colours as I can! These shades are definitely my favourite and ones that I use all of the time!

20131217-154241.jpg
* Collection Eyeshadow Pencil in ‘Denim Diva’
This isn’t even meant to be an eyeliner but I love drawing a line on my lash line and blending it out! It’s a beautiful cold blue colour with a lighter blue glitter running through it. It has amazing longevity and looks amazing with any eye colour.. It’s a super festive colour, too!

20131217-154248.jpg
* KIKO Super Colour Eyeliner in ‘110’
I go on about these eyeliners a lot but I truly love them! This shade is a beautiful purple colour with glitter running through it! I love using these on my too lash line and also smudging them under my eye too! It’s a gorgeous deep purple and is really long lasting.. As the name suggests!

20131217-154255.jpg
* KIKO Super Colour Eyeliner in ‘102’
For the same reasons above, I love this eyeliner too! Because it’s a liquid, you can get real precision and the brush is immaculate for drawing on the eyes! This brown is a gorgeous rich brown and perfect for those people who want to try something other than black! It has a gold glitter running through it and often looks like a copper colour in some lights.

20131217-154302.jpg
*AVON Supershock Gel Eyeliner in ‘Blackberry’
I’ve loved this colour for years and I can never get ahold of another pencil in this shade so sparingly use this one! This is a fantastic deep burgundy with a red glitter running through it and although the colour initially sounds scary, it looks amazing! This is another one for those of us who are used to black eyeliner.. It makes a gorgeous change to wearing black because of its subtlety! It’s really long lasting and creamy, too!

20131217-154309.jpg
* Barry M Kohl Pencil in ’10’
I bought these recently and have already got so much use of them! This gold colour is definitely one of my favourite! One that would look great on darker skin tones but suits anyone! These are creamy and long lasting and add a gorgeous pop of colour without looking too OTT! I love applying a black eyeliner and then this on top, on my waterline which gives me eyes definition and a pop of colour at the same time!

20131217-154317.jpg
* KIKO Perfect Eyes Duo Highlighter Pencil
This pencil is actually meant to be used on the brow bone one as a highlighter pencil but I love using this on my inner corner, cheekbones and even on my eyelid as an all over colour! This trick is great for those people who don’t wear eyeliner but still want a subtle shimmer! Just dab this on the areas of your eyes where you want some brightness and rock!

20131217-154323.jpg
* INIKA Certified Organic Eyeliner in Green Lagoon
It’s not often I whip out this colour because I’m not usually a fan of frosty colour but this green definitely gets my blood pumping in Winter! It’s a beautiful aqua shade which has a mega frosty finish! It’s not the smoothest pencil but after warming it up with a hair dryer or in my hands, it’s fairly easy to use and I love applying this with a black on my waterline or just above my black winged eyeliner for a pop of colour on my eyelid!

Bicester Village Haul: DKNY and MAC

Whilst I was in Bicester Village and was bumping into all the shops I wasn’t interested in, I FINALLY went into a store called ‘The Cosmetics Company’, which little to my knowledge was an outlet store (which I should have known because Bicester Village is outlet central). I was so happy to see some amazing brands in there but obviously I was drawn to their MAC counter, where they had their limited edition collections at a discount! I wanted everything, but chose this..

Ted Baker Make Up

20131111-203925.jpg

In the UK, Boots are really well known for their Christmas sales and the products they release from tonnes of brands for the festive season! I recently popped in there and saw Ted Baker make up kits, which is completely new for me to use! I wanted to try it because Ted Baker is a high end brand, so I grabbed this kit.. Have a look..

The Great and the Gorgeous Cosmetic Gift Set – £40 (they have now put up the price)
The kit came in at £19 (I was so chuffed at the affordable price but they still have it in their ‘3 for 2’ sale). As always with Ted Baker, the packaging is incredible and the products inside are made of good quality!

The kit comes with: a bronzing compact, lipstick crayons, eye liner, shimmer eye creams, eye glitter, false eyelashes and glue, nail polishes, illuminating liquids and cosmetic brushes! Tonnes of products!

20131111-204036.jpg20131111-204043.jpg20131111-204048.jpg20131111-204055.jpg20131111-204103.jpg

20131111-204139.jpg

20131111-204150.jpg

The swatches of the products show the quality of the makeup! It really is worth it!
The colours are autumn happy and I just love the idea of carrying around that rose gold compact!

The brushes are MAC quality.. Seriously! I love the lip crayon shades which are super moisturising and pigmented AND.. All the nail varnishes and highlighting (illuminating) pots, are crazy beautiful! The eyeliner is pigmented and long lasting and the other eye make up (lashes, glitter and cream shadow), are so natural and easy to wear!

September Glossy Box

There’s nothing I love more than receiving my Glossy Box without even realising it’s been a month.. A blessing for the surprise and a curse because I’ve lost another month!

20130913-015300.jpg

First of all, the box is AMAZING! It’s a ginormous Union Jack flag and I can’t wait to display it proudly in my room! The theme for this month was inspired by London Fashion Week and all the products are from brands in the UK. This month came with a unique magazine which was a nice little bit of literature to read on a small journey!

20130913-015227.jpg

20130913-015310.jpg

20130913-015328.jpg
** The products inside are listed in an informative little booklet

Let’s take a look at what was in the box..

The first eye-tem (pardon the pun) that jumped out at me were these self-adhesive eyelashes! I’m a bit sceptical of these but I’m saving to try them on a special occasion because they look beautiful and natural! I don’t know how well they’ll stick, but I’m ready for the challenge!

20130913-015334.jpg
**Eyelure Pre-Glued lashes in 109

The next thing I awed over was this Onyx eyeliner by BeABombShell! It’s a jumbo eyeliner felt tip that makes a super neat line! After I stopped buying L’oreal Carbon Gloss, I never used eyeliner until I bought my first felt tip applicator one! This is highly pigmented and makes a super clean line.. PERFECT!

20130913-015340.jpg

20130913-021104.jpg
** Be A Bombshell Onyx Eyeliner

When I saw this perfume, I loved that I could try it! I saw a favourite YouTuber of mine Shaaanxo mention that she bought this recently and loved it! So when I received it, I knew is like it! It’s a really strange scent. It’s musky, floral, fruity and evening-y! I really like the bottle, too which they’ve designed to look good from whatever angle you look at it from! I love it when I get perfume samples in miniature versions of their full size bottles.. Looks super cute on my vanity!

20130913-015348.jpg
** Elizabeth Arden Untold perfume

I’m not usually too into hair care because I don’t show my hair.. Durr? But I don’t mind a serum every now and again because I don’t always like using conditioner on my hair. I tried this straight away because my hair had just dried and I quite like it. The serum is semi-runny and not too thick and absorbs really well. I applied it to the ends of my dry hair and it gave it a bit of shine and lessened any frizz that I had.. Nothing miraculous and I’m not too keen on the smell but I like the handy size and the bottle comes in a pump.. Bonus!

20130913-015354.jpg

20130913-015400.jpg
** Toni & Guy Classic Shine Gloss Serum

When I saw the next thing, I was quite surprised by the name.. I had heard of this old wives tale for a while no and the idea is exactly what the product name suggests! I like the consistency which is uber thick and it really moisturises well.. However, half of the sample was air.. WHICH SUCKS! But it’s handy because you can carry it in your bag to use on your cuticles, elbows and wherever you get dry!

Top 5 L’oreal products

20130819-175020.jpg

When it comes to drug store/ high street brands, L’oreal is up there in my top favourites! Continuing on with my ‘top 5’ series, here’s my favourite 5 products from this lovely brand!

I purchased Nude Magique BB cream a while back when it was first released and I fell in love with it! The idea behind it is that the product comes out a grey colour and the more you blend it in, it adapts to your skin tone and has coverage! It looks super natural on the skin and you can barely feel it! It kind of dries to a powder consistency so doesn’t let you shine. It is supposed to have BB qualities too but I’m not too fussed about that.. It’s just a bonus. It doesn’t have a massive range of colours but because it adapts to your skin, you can generalise a shade.
20130819-175047.jpg
L’oreal Paris Nude Magique BB Cream in ‘light’ – £9.99

I bought the Lumi Magique primer a while back (around 2 years ago) when I first heavily got into make up but didn’t want to spend a lot on it. I really wanted to try a primer to see what it could do and this one, to this day, is one of my favourite. It’s a luminous primer which makes your skin look glowing! You can mix it with your foundation, moisturiser or normal primer to create an overall dewy look. You can use it as a highlighter on the peaks of your face. You can even use as an eyeshadow/ base. It has such a natural pearl which doesn’t look shiny or greasy on your skin and it helps your make up last longer too!

20130819-175301.jpg

20130819-175306.jpg
L’oreal Lumi Magique Primer – £9.99

This one is a recent purchase for me but I have fallen in love with it straight away! A while back.. L’oreal used to sell a carbon gloss liquid eyeliner which they discontinued, much to the dismay of a lot of eyeliner lovers! The nib and product in this is really similar (although not as glossy). I really like how you can create a really thin or thick line depending on your hand pressure! It’s a must for new eyeliner- users! It doesn’t dry out quickly, you can use it on top of eyeshadows and is really long lasting on the lid. It’s also very black and highly pigmented!

20130819-175334.jpg

20130819-175339.jpg
L’oreal Superliner Perfect Slim in ‘Black Intense’ – £6.99

When the Revlon Lip Butters were released, L’oreal quickly bought out competition in the way of these Rouge Caresse lipsticks! They’re a moisturising and sheer colour that are super flattering! Every colour would suit any skin tone. I like the packaging too because it feels high end, even though it’s not. They don’t have the best longevity but because they’re not a bold colour, they’re quick to reapply. I love the shade I got in this coral red colour which adds a super nice pop of colour without being dramatic!

20130819-175409.jpg

20130819-175448.jpg

20130819-175453.jpg
L’oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick in ‘Aphrodite Scarlet’ – £7.99

Web it comes to eyeshadows, for quite some time, I remember L’oreal being behind the other brands because they never had anything really worth me ruining.. May be a few mediocre eyeshadow palettes. Then they bought out these bad boys.. Colour Infallible eyeshadows! There are a tonne of nice colours to choose from so to choose one was hard for me! The big deal about these is that they’re actually a pressed pigment which come with a stopper on the top to keep the pigment from spilling everywhere.. Something which all pigments do! They are pigmented, easy to use and cheap & cheerful!

20130819-175511.jpg

I’ve decided to show you a series of blog posts all about my ‘top five’ items from a specific brand! And what better brand to kick off than MAC?

In my beautiful Z Palette I house the only MAC eye shadow I have and it’s my all time favourite eye shadow! I saw Cranberry from MAC in a video by FleurDeForce on YouTube and fell in love with it! I have brown/green eyes so I knew that this colour would look good.. And I was right! Definitely a strong wedding day eyeshadow choice for me! Cranberry is exactly that.. A red cranberry colour (a deep red) and it has a red glitter flex running through it! Although its a cold colour, I find myself reaching towards it every time I want a pop of colour! It’s not too bold so looks fairly natural (as far as reds go). If you have red eyes, this will enhance them and similarly I find that when my skin is looking dull, it makes me look more tired, so be aware! I love how strongly pigmented and creamy it is!

** I’ve worn cranberry (MAC) on the lid, Peaches and Cream (MakeUp Geek) on the crease and Bitten (MakeUp Geek) on the outer corner slightly

My next favourite has to be Pink Swoon blusher by MAC. If I could choose only one product to live with, it would be blusher and this one is perfect! I rave about Pink Swoon in so many blog posts because of its versatility and how beautiful it looks on! No matter what your skin tone, this blush will look perfect on you! It looks bright in the pan but its actually sheer so you can wear it lightly or build it up and because it’s so creamy and blend able, it looks natural! I love this blusher! It also looks super nice as an eyeshadow and I like using clear lip balm and then dabbing this on top.

Next stop.. Studio Fix badass powder! Again, a love of mine! I think the thing I love most about this is the amazing colour match this powder has to my skin! I picked this up from Madrid at the airport and the lady matched me up to C4.5 and she hit the nail on the head! Not only is the coverage of this powder just like that of a medium coverage foundation, but the texture, blend-ability and pigmentation is perfectly natural! It stays put all day and is perfect for touching up!

Just like I rave about Pink Swoon, I rave about Cosmo lipstick by MAC! It’s a beautiful nude, rose, pinky brown shade! It’s so hard to explain but I think the cliche ‘my lips but better’ really comes into play here! It looks super natural but the formula is moisturising and it’s super pigmented! It lasts really well on the lips too and even wears off beautifully! I can’t say enough good things about this stuff!

OBVIOUSLY, MAC is really well known for their makeup tools as well and my favourite one of them all is the 224 brush! This was a 6-month-ago purchase for me and I’m smitten! The brush is perfect for blending in the crease because of its tampered domed shape! Not only does it work well on the eyes, you can contour, conceal and highlight with this brush too because its that perfect universal size! I like it better than the 217 which I don’t use half as much although, people talk more about that! The 224 is just too versatile for me to ignore!
